Successful first half of 2011 proves WELCOME HOTELS right on track with expansion plans
The WELCOME HOTEL GROUP can look back on a successful first half of the year with positive figures being recorded. An overall turnover of 28.3 million euro was up 2.6 million euro on the first half of the previous year representing an increase in turnover of some 9.4 percent. "With two new management contracts in Meißen and our brand new venture in the trade fair area of Frankfurt the group made a very positive start to 2011 with the upward trend fulfilling our expectations in every way. Extrapolating this result over the year as a whole will produce an increase in turnover of over 10 percent", says Managing Director Mario Pick. The group racked up an occupancy rate of almost 62 percent with the average room rate increasing by 2.5 percent from €76.70 to €78.60 over the first six months of the year. RevPAR (Revenue per available room) also rose by 5.3 percent from €42.40 to €44.70. "2011 for WELCOME HOTELS is a year of restructuring and expansion. These very promising developments for our hotels are due largely to the numerous innovations and the introduction of new service concepts", adds Carsten Kritz, joint Managing Director of WELCOME HOTELS. Positive corporate developments over the past few years have not only resulted in higher occupancy rates but have also been clearly reflected in the marketplace. In 2010 the group was able to improve its ranking on the Allgemeinen Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung (AHGZ) listings by one position to its current 28th place.

Adherence to these standards that in all 17 hotels by far exceed those set by the Ministry of Health is confirmed twice a year by the Institut Quant.
